June 30, 2015: Nora at 2 yrs old!

Nora at 2 years old...so fun, so lively, so talkative, BIG personality, such a sponge, and SUCH a sweet/sour girl :)  At 2 Nora can speak in sentences and definitely speaks her mind.  She loves to tell me "hello emily" and will often announce "guess what?" before telling us something.  She can keep up with her siblings and has no problem taunting them right back by singing "I higher [than] you" while on the swing set.  She has also mastered tattling :)  She is still in a very "I do it myself!" phase which can be good and bad.  Love her independence but it's hard to remind her she still needs our help sometimes...
She LOVES art.  You will often find her painting or coloring/drawing circles in one of her many notebooks.  She prefers paint, markers, or pens to crayons (naturally).  She will often pretend to write in her notebook saying letters out loud as she draws circles...and yes, circle is her favorite shape. She knows all basic shapes, the alphabet, can count to 20, and all colors.  Her favorite color is buh-loo.  Not to be confused with blue, the normal pronunciation.  She loves blue clothes, coloring in blue, blue water bottles and so on.
1 month after turning 2 years old, Nora was potty trained!  Like completely trained, out and about, in 3 days!  She did sooo great, but I do think there were other factors that helped this time around.  One is that she trained with Anna.  Their competitiveness was hilarious but helpful because if one earned a treat for potting, you bet the other was going to get one as well.  We also decorated the bathroom again, this time a Frozen theme!
Another big factor was that Rachel and I got to trade off training with each other which helped us from getting overwhelmed with frequent bathroom trips...and when we needed a break, my big helper Liam was awesome to step in!!
Besides, he already trained one sister so he knows what he's doing :)
Nora will start her first activity this fall (gymnastics), but has spent the last 2 years watching the big kids...sometimes it's boring but she's such a trooper and I can't wait till we are all watching and cheering for her!
This summer she really got into girly things like dress-up (especially the high-heel shoes), princess castle, carrying a "jewelry bag" everywhere complete with purple sunglasses and pink cell phone...
And dolls.  Nora is our first kiddo to play with dolls.  We had a couple in the house that she plays with but I even bought her one when I saw how cute she was at "mothering".  Nora named her Keisha. Of course.

Nora's bed now includes a pillow (blue of course), Louis the bear, Flash, baby Tiger (not pictured) and at least one doll.  Here is baby Nora and baby Kewpie, but she also likes Keisha, Suzie or Boy in her bed as well :)
Nora did great at her 2 year check up, telling our doctor all her favorite things.  She loves oatmeal, eggs, peanut butter/jelly sandwiches, all fruit, broccoli, tortellini, tacos, yogurt, raisins, popcorn, and cheese but eats everything if given enough encouragement.  She was so proud to show off her big girl underwear as well!  She is 25 lbs 15 oz (33%), 34 inches (48%), and head circumference of 18 3/4 in (48%).  She is very healthy and her Puma did a great job of distracting her before and after her one shot.

Nora loves story time at the library and singing "Itsy Spider" and the "Wiggles" song...

Nora loves the splash park and her blue bathing suit/hat...(yup, she's the weird kid using it like a bidet)
Nora LOVES puzzles and this sea life one in particular.  It's 24 pieces and she's done it on her own at least 100 times...
Nora loves singing and dancing, especially trying to copy her big sis.  She knows all the words to Taylor Swift's Bad Blood as well, sigh :)
At 2, Nora does not like being told no or having someone help or do something for her...and she does NOT like having her picture taken when she's not in the mood...

When I can catch her for a picture, she is the cutest :) Love our cute, independent, sassy, loud, busy, funny, self proclaimed "big gur"!
