July 31, 2011: A New Look!

As you might have noticed, our blog has a whole new look! And so do a lot of my pictures. We finally joined the mac revolution and I have a new Macbook!! I honestly had NO idea how limited I was before. All the new features have made blogging so easy and so fun. A special thanks to Nick for getting me the best camera and computer to keep up my blog!

Indulge me, because this is a post of just cute pics that I was playing around with. And it was a good opportunity to give our second-born some blog love :) Enjoy the many faces of Bryn!

July 25, 2010: HOT summer days...

We've been keeping busy this summer! We have been swimming at our pool alot which I don't ave any pictures of (too hard with 2 in the water now!) and we have been having playdates twice a week with friends going to either a pool/splash park, jump street, safari park...anything to stay cool! We also went to Nick's work picnic which was very nice, but alas no pics of that either. Here are the pics I did get this month...

No, you didn't miss it! Bryn is trying to crawl, but not crawling yet. She will sit in this position for a minute though which is new. I'll def have video once she actually starts moving...
While Amelia was planning their wedding out of town, Daniel was around to bond with his nephew and neices-to-be :)

Bryn continues to be the happiest (and cutest!) baby I know. It's almost too easy to get photos of her smiling now because she has a perma-smile :)

I did find one of her not smiling, probably because she's blowing raspberries in this pic :)

Bryn can wave and babbles alot now...yes it's 'dadadadada', but she occasionally throws a 'ma' in there or grunts (which I think his t-rex talk for liam). She also does 'so big'...only she needs one arm to carry the other I guess :)
As Liam is about to turn 3, he becomes more and more independent...like going upstairs alone to pick out his outfit and dress himself. The result...(and no he didn't get Dal's joke about delivering a package :)We are still doing alot of puzzles, most that Liam can complete on his own...More Rough Rider games! We love the Friday night ones that end with fireworks...We went to the zoo with Rach and Pres before they left and Dal and Mal...Grandma and Linds came for the weekend. We had lots of downtime to just relax with her and the kids got in some good snuggles...Even though they have a huge playroom upstairs, they still enjoy playing downstairs, especially in the evening while I'm making dinner. Liam has been good about sharing his toys and they both have fun with the baby toys/cars/dinosaurs that seem to be filling up our house! Don't be alarmed if you visit between 4-7pm because this is what you will see...We took Nick to Jump Street this last weekend, which has a ton of indoor tramplines... July 4, 2011: 4th of July and other fun!

I decided to quickly post again today since I have access to Rachel's mac which is much easier than what I've been using...so here goes! Some of this might be kind of random and out of order, but for time's sake I'm just going with it...

Probably the highlight of the holiday weekend for Liam was going to see his first movie in the theater!! Nick took him to see Cars 2, which he loved! (sorry for the small size, these are from Nick's phone)

Bath time baby! They are pretty darn cute when they're squeaky clean :)
We spent most of the days over the holiday weekend just lounging in and around the pool with the fam...
Can you guess where Bryn (and Nick, Liam and I) went that night?? Her hair bow was very appropriate...
Yup, we went to the Rough Riders game for hot dogs, baseball and fireworks!

Had to snap a pic of Bryn sleeping in the closet. She's in a full size pack and play but seems to be already outgrowing it. I guess it's really time to move to the crib :)
Last week we had a fun playdate at the pool with all Liam's buddies. Here is my attempt at a group shot of them...Such a wonderful group of moms and kids and we are so fortunate to get to play with them so often. We have been playing with this same group for over a year now and have shared stories, wine, diapers, snacks and lots of laughs!!
Pops and Nana came into town this past weekend for a visit. We grilled out, went for snow cones, and took them to the Safari Park!
Last weekend we also hosted a joint baby shower for Lara, Rachel and Alison! It was so nice to do lunch with the girls and baby DC got some wonderful gifts.
Here is Bryn, such a big girl now at 8 months old! She loves to sit and play...as long as Liam is nearby :) She plays with her toys but I think she pretends to be playing whatever he is into because she watches him very closely...
Liam, Pres and Bryn just cheesin' for the camera. They loved having another month of 'slumber parties' together at our house! I can't say enough how much we loved having so much time with Rachel and Pres this summer. We had so much fun and hope that we'll have lots of reasons to continue to see them often...
Last but not least, a super cute pic of my babies. I love how sweet Liam continues to be with Bryn. She already looks up to him and just lights up when he plays with her...
