August 28, 2010: A day in the life of T-Rex...

One of Liam's new FAVORITE buddies is T-Rex. He got a whole set of dinosaurs for his bday from Mal/Dal, but T-Rex was his instant fav. We now carry T-Rex everywhere...playdates, grocery store, pool...and if we can't find him he's usually been left in Liam's carseat since he's always along for the ride. We 'share' everything with T-Rex including food...mommy's only rule is that he is not allowed in the pool or tub (I don't need a moldy dino!). Here are just a few pics of T-Rex and Liam and the activities they do together :)

I also forgot to update Liam's 2 year stats from his appointment:

Weight: 26 lbs 9 oz (31%)

Height: 35 3/4 inches (84%)

Head Circumference: 20 1/4 inches (97%) Our doctor voiced some concern over this again....does she not realize we are excited that he is finally back on the curve?? There was about a year when he was 150%, so at least he's finally starting to grow into his head. Besides after 2 years, we're fully convinced it's just a very, very large brain :)

BMI: 14.6 (3%) I think it's cute they start BMI's at age 2...obviously this just tells us what we are seeing...he's very long and skinny :)

August 24, 2010: Birthday Recap!

Liam truly had a week long birthday. Saturday morning we woke up and had a big family breakfast (and impromptu dance party!). Nick's family came in from Houston to stay with us for the weekend, which was such a treat!
We all headed over to Liam's party at Pump It Up Jr....or to Liam "the bounce house"! It was our family and Liam's playgroup, which ended up being 10 kids. It was a perfect size and we had the place to ourselves. No captions needed, just check out all the fun!

After some serious bouncing, we moved into the party room for pizza and cupcakes. I don't think I've seen anything as cute as a toddler dinner party :)

Liam even blew out his own candle...by blowing through his nose not his mouth :) Oh well, we'll work on that for next year!

I just had to post the next few pics of the birthday boy that Aunt Steph took. I know he's a big boy now, but all I see is my sweet, little baby. How does he keep getting cuter?!
After the party, we had a big lunch back at our house and Liam opened his presents. He and Pres had a great time checking out all his new stuff. Here he is with the kitchen that Nick and I bought him and his new train table. That night we all went to the Rough Riders game. Liam loves going to the games, and had so much fun sharing it with his family. They even announced his birthday on the digital banner! If that weekend of celebration wasn't enough, we also did a family dinner at Olive Garden on the boys' actual birthday. Nick's choice of restaurant...after 7 years in LA, he really missed his chain restaurants :)
The boys had a great birthday(s)...I guess eventually we are going to have to teach Liam that usually your birthday does not go on for days :)
