April 2014: Catch up Nora at 10 and 11 months

I can't BELIEVE Nora is almost a year old!  These last 2 months have been so busy for Nora with so much growing and learning on her part.  She does not want to sit still any longer...she loves to be up on her toes!

And despite what I thought, Nora did decide to crawl!!  And now that she's started there is noooo stopping her :)

Nora has always looked up to Liam, but lately she is really having fun with her big sis...

This is the relationship I have been waiting for and hope they only get closer as they get older :)

Nora finally started eating better...as long as she is feeding herself.  Don't put a spoon in her face unless you expect it to be smacked out of your hand (one exception is yogurt).  Urgh, I thought I already had my independent girl but looks like there's another one. (Not that it looks appetizing but she's eating one of her favorite meals here a taco salad-turkey meat, cheese and avocado)

And of course she still loves eating socks :)

One of her biggest milestones at 11 months was cutting her first two (bottom) teeth!! (Hard to photograph but that was the first day her teeny tiny tooth cut through)

She is so close to her first birthday, it's crazy.  We are loving each day seeing her little personality come out and know she will bring our family even more joy in this second year of life!

April 10, 2014: Meet Fox Daniel!

Obviously the highlight of this month was our newest nephew/cousin, Fox!!  I was so honored to be a part of the whole process with Daniel and Amelia.  I met them at the hospital and was there for the  labor (which she ROCKED!)...

 Nick and I helped to coordinate sneaking the Smiths in town to surprise the fam!

 The delivery was just so perfect!  Amelia did great and it was an amazing experience...

 Of course I quickly starting snapping pics of their first few minutes together as a family.  Almost as fun as helping Amelia breastfeed for the first time...another part of motherhood she just sailed through!  Could not be prouder or more happy for her...what an amazing mother she already is :)

 I could not be more happy for Daniel and Amelia, they are already amazing parents.  I could never thank them enough for letting me be a part of such a special, monumental moment in their lives...

We love you so much Fox and are so excited to have you in our family.  You'll be running with the big kids before we know it!

March 2014: Weird weather...

We didn't slow down in March even though the weather was crazy.   It was winter and summer, and sometimes both within 12 hours!

One day it was hot...(ps, yes I almost ran out of gas...like always!)

 The next day it was cold...

Then it was hot again...(1st blog appearance of Bumby the new car!)

And then...yes you get the picture :)

 First day of water table outside...

Followed by last day of fireplace...

 And some days we didn't know what to do...Liam in xmas jammies and Bryn in summer ones...

St. Patrick's day in short-sleeves (Bryn) and layers (Liam and Nora)...

 But no matter the weather, we were always having fun!!

March 2014: Weddings and Birthdays

March was  an exciting month with 2 weddings and a birthday.  Nick and I went back to LA for our friends Mickey and Jen's wedding.  It was a great excuse for a fun vaca.  Great weather, great food and great friends!

 Have to hit some of my favorite spots like Urth Cafe...

Also went to our favorite sushi spot, Katsuya, with Danny and Lisa.  Tried a new spot that we loved, Gjelina, with James!  The one photo where I'm drinking and she's not...for good reason, mama-to-be :)

The next weekend we were back in town for Grant and Mallory's wedding.  Another fun night out for us...

The next weekend was Daniel's birthday.  We all enjoyed some yummy food off the grill and hanging with the Felters...

March 2014: Getting ready for baby Fox!

We were all so excited to celebrate baby Fox before his arrival!  I was honored to take some maternity pictures for Amelia.  She makes my job easy, she looks great!!

 While Nick and Cameron were celebrating Daniel's fatherhood-to-be, the kids and I hosted Amelia's baby shower at our house.  They were so excited to greet our guests and serve the appetizers :)

Of course they enjoyed the snacks as well...

 We all decorated onesies for Fox to wear each month of his first year...
