For Nora's 1st Birthday, we decided to have a sock hop for her party. Her invite sums up why we chose this theme...
We decided to do a small party with just family, and the 5 of us dressed up for her theme...
So did Fox in his little jean jacket that used to be Liam's :)
And all the girls wore matching scarfs as well...
Well family plus Lippers...but she's basically family too :)
We grilled out hamburgers and hotdogs, with sweet potato fries, beans, stewed tomatoes on the side. I also made Nora her favorite flavor banana cupcake/muffins...
So excited about her candle :)
She LOVED her cupcake!
We also made root beer floats...however since the kids have never had soda, they ended up not being fans. They were happy with just the vanilla ice cream!
Nora opened our gift from Nick and I a few days earlier...a new backpack for school!
She also got a few toys, a nap blankie for school, money for a new carseat, clothes..and wine! Her Godparents (Amelia and Daniel) are gifting her a bottle of (very nice) wine each year on her birthday. She'll have quite the collection in 20 years and it will be fun to open and share her bottles for all her adult birthdays in the future. She was actually more interested in the bottle than I would have guessed :)

Suck a fun day for a super fun little girl! I'll update her stats and all the fun things she's doing now after her 12 month check up!
