February 28, 2013: Feb Wrap Up

February was a fun month for us.  We went to the Krewe of Barkus, which is the doggy Mardi Gras parade, again this year.  This kids love catching beads and seeing all the dogs dressed up :)

Our friend Jackson met us there as well...
We celebrated Dallie's birthday that day with pizaa afterwards...

 and then cake of course!

The kids went with Mallie to Ash Wednesday Mass and I met them there right after work.  Liam was very interested in the ashes and their symbolism.  Bryn just kept wiping hers off :)
We had heart-ish shaped chocolate chip pancakes with fruit for Valentime's day...
And the kids got to open all their wonderful treats sent from family...

That Friday we had a Valentine's playdate at the mall where all the kids dressed up...
 We rode the carousel...

And then the kids got to make a trail mix of all the snacks they each brought and combined...it was a big hit!
Liam had a lot of questions watching me paint Bryn's toes one day and being the scientist that he is decided to try out some blue polish...don't worry it only lasted one day :)
Grandma came in for a quick weekend trip and among all the games and playtime, we also took Bryn shoe shopping.  Her first "designer" shoes :)
Liam's been working on his Lego fire truck all by himself...
Last weekend, we took off Friday to head to Houston for Pop's retirement party.  It was a nice celebration and it was great to be a part of it...

Saturday night Meha and Daniel kept the kids so that we could go to the musical "Catch Me If You Can" with Dal and Mal.  It was a great dinner and show, so much fun!
On Sunday we went to the American Allen's hockey game with the Haynes family.  It was a fun, family-friendly event and we had a great time...
Finally, Trey and I got in an accident :(  Fortunately, the kids were not with me and despite the fact I was on the highway going 70mph the damage was actually minimal and I felt totally fine.  Trey reassured me with lots of kicking was fine too.  The driver next to me said he didn't see me before coming into my lane and hit my passenger door.  It doesn't quite open now, but his insurance is taking care of all the costs.  So considering the circumstances, I feel pretty lucky.
