February 9, 2011: It's snow big deal...

(First I must admit I stole that headline from Wassel's blog, but it's cute and very fitting for this post!) This has been a CRAZY month for weather so far. We have gone from 65 degrees to wind chills below zero over 48 hours. But the worst (or best) part was the 2 inches of ice that made Nick and I both miss almost a week of work! Now the impromptu staycation was very nice...but it was hard being stuck inside with just ice on the ground. So we did alot of this ....
and finally when we got snow, we did alot of this...
I guess it's not too easy to play soccer in knee deep snow :) Here is exactly how deep the snow was...and how we were almost trapped inside with snow coming up our front door...
When we could finally (very cautiously) venture out, we went to Mallie/Dallie's house to get snowed in with the fam. Just the usual...snuggling, curling Pres' hair for the first time, playing cards (with Bryn!), soaking up some sunshine, bubble baths, and storytime...oh and alot of eating!
Nick still watches all his Man United games and now has another child to share his passion with...
It seems my kids already share alot of the same interests. Here is Bryn at 3 months old...

and Liam at 6 weeks...
Bryn and Liam at 3 months old...
And while we are doing comparisons, check out the cousins who are starting to look (and dress) very much alike! We celebratd the Superbowl simultaneously with Dalllie's birthday!Dr. Liam is taking care of Pres :)Britty and Sam were in town for the Superbowl, and it was fun to catch up for the day. They also got to meet Bryn! Here are two of my favorite pictures this month so far...I love this first one because it truly shows how Liam is starting to do alot of imaginary play..and how 'boy' he is becoming. When I found T-Rex like this and asked Liam what he was doing he said "eating Ramon" (the car from the Cars movie)
And of course, my sweet Brynbot...who now is at that perfect age where she will sit in her bouncer and watch me get ready in the morning, lay in the middle of our kitchen table (seriously...I do put her on a blanket, don't worry!) and coo while we eat, chew on her fist when she can't find wubbanub, demand to be held or strapped to me from 5-7pm every night, and SLEEP THROUGH THE NIGHT 9pm-6am...then back down for 2-3 more hours!!!! Such a good, and adorable, baby :)
