Bryn has been counting down the days to when she turned 4 and a half. If you asked her on May 5th how old she was, she said four. When I told someone she was 4.5 earlier this week, she said "Not till May 6th!" Since Bryn thought this particular half-birthday was such a big deal, so did we :) She woke up to her decorations and favorite oatmeal for breakfast...
We played at Kid Mania that day, one of Bryn's favorite places. Liam was in school so he didn't get to go, but it was a beautiful day and Bryn loved singing out of the sun roof while we waited in the car pick up line...
Bryn also got to pick her dinner and dessert...and of course it was my chicken fried rice, her favorite! She also wanted a rainbow cake, so I made an oatmeal cake with fruit on top. She might have been picturing some neon cake mix in the store, but all the kids loved the cake, and mommy was happy with a healthier option :)
At 4.5, Bryn is the sweetest, most helpful, smartest kiddo and so much fun to have around. Case in point, here is Bryn helping Aunt Lindsey shop for her wedding gown...hiding under trains and strutting the runway :)
Thanks for bringing half-birthday celebrations into our lives Brynnie, any reason to celebrate you is a good one!!
