We are so so happy with Liam's school and class this year. He has had the best year and made so many sweet friends. Every day he gets in the car I ask 3 questions: What color was his clip on? (That indicates his behavior-green, blue, and purple are great); How was lunch?; and What was something new or interesting you learned or did today? Now when he gets in the car, before I say anything, he blurts out "Green. Ate my whole lunch even the broccoli. We visited 4th grade and watched them dissect owl pellets. And one boy didn't even wear gloves when he did it, Mom!" I love that he loves to share the parts of his day because hearing these stories are the best part of my day!
I feel so fortunate to get to be part of Liam's class and school activities. There has been a lot of activities going on this Spring at school. Like visiting the 1st grade in preparation...(love his attention in this pic!)
Visiting Safety Town...Nick was a chaperone on this trip which Liam loved!
Guest readers in class on superhero day (wearing his green L cape)...
A visit to his class from Zero the Hero (he wasn't too impressed, ha!)...
Celebrating 100 days of school...
Playing in the snow during school!
St. Patrick's day wearing green...
Visiting the 5th grade hall where they set up a 'wax museum'...
Getting their classroom ready for incoming kinder friends...
I am part of the school wellness committee which hosted Kid's Fit Day. It was fun to see all the kids do their circuits around the school. Liam thought it was hilarious that I was in charge of bicep curls :)
Liam also had open house where we got to see his classrooms. Liam showed all his journal and science projects, and all the other things he's been working on...
Liam also got to show us around the GT classroom. He tested into the Gifted and Talented program this Spring and we couldn't be more proud!! We knew there was a good chance he would get in, but his scores of testing in the 99th% across the board (verbal, nonverbal, quantitative and comprehension) blew us away! He loves the Quest games and puzzles he does there.
Liam also had a very special treat one Friday...Nick volunteered to be a Watch DOG at school! He helped out around the school and in Liam's classroom. Liam was so proud when Nick was announced at morning assembly :)

Lunch at school...
Of course Nick was there on the day they had a water balloon fight so he had to be a part of that :)
Classroom work (Liam's at the back with his teacher)...
The kids dance it out before going home. Nick got a great video of them doing the "wobbly man"...
Liam's field day kept getting rescheduled due to the insane amount of rain we've had this month. They finally decided to have it rain or shine. Although it wasn't raining it was pretty cold that morning in the 60s, not that the kids cared :) Bryn, Nora, and I came to cheer Puma on and eat lunch with his class...
The girls and I love eating lunch with Liam. Usually I just pack for all of us since Liam takes his lunch daily.
The only exception is when he moves his clip up on the behavior chart to 'excellent effort' or 'role model'. If the does that he gets to buy lunch, and lately he's been getting lunch twice a month :) Bryn likes to be a pretend kindergartener and they let her go through the lunch line as well...
Spring soccer finally came to an end! The snow and then rain made this the longest season ever but we finally played all the rescheduled games. The Wolves had another great season...
So did the Avengers!
Cheering Bryn on at her last game...
