February 19-28: Cold weather activities and SNOW!

Even though it was cold, we started another soccer season, this time outdoors.  Bryn was awesome with the Avengers again...

Liam and I went to the Mother/Son dance again this year.  I love how much he LOVES this event :)
We met our friends for dinner first and then onto the dance.  Jackson, Liam, and James :)

He loves the choreographed dances they teach the boys.  Such a fun night!
Everything was going great in our routine...coloring and playing during the car line pick up...

 Bryn's ballet and tap classes...

 (Nora can't WAIT to start!)
And then...the SNOW.  We met Alison and Brenna at Kid Mania one morning.  Within an hour of being there flurries started...and quickly turned to a major snowstorm.
We rushed over to pick Liam up early from school and came home to enjoy our snow days!

When they got too cold from playing outside, we played Power Ranger with our neighbor Jackson...
 Bryn and I made muffins...
When we got cabin-fever, we slid the 2 miles over to play at Mallie's house for a change of scenery :)
I'd like to say this was a fun little weekend, the snow/ice and cold weather continued off and on for a few weeks.  Soccer, church school, DI, ballet, gymnastics, piano...all the kids activities were rescheduled.   Nick missed work (that's when you know it's bad) and the Lingerfelts got snowed in with us for the weekend!  We had lots of dance parties, cards and games, and playtime...

We pulled the sleds out and pushed the kids around the flat Texas ground :)

The whole weekend was like groundhog day...more games and playtime...more snow fun!

The snow (and lack of work and scheduled activities) ended up being an awesome staycation!
