We decided to spend Spring Break in Louisville this year. It was perfect timing to see family and friends, and host a baby shower for my cousin Brittany. Nick was able to drive us to Nashville where we met Mallie to continue on to KY, but then he flew home the next day. Don't feel too bad for Nick. He did work that week but then met Cameron, Daniel and Alex in Vegas for their boys weekend :)
The snow continued into March and almost delayed our drive. We decided to leave early Friday morning so we could have better visibility of the roads. Our first drive was 12 hours to Nashville. The big kids only watched one movie...they preferred to color, read, sing, sleep and snack. They did great even when we got stopped on I40 for two hours in park with Bryn needing to use the bathroom. Nora did great considering the long drive for a 1.5 year old. She did however watch more hours of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on our drives than she has in her whole life (hey, it was survival mode!). Mommy Macgyver was able to rig up the ipad on her chair so she had her own screen, coupled with a blanket cover to keep the sun off it :)
We made it to the Brandon's house to meet up with Mallie and Alex. We had a great dinner and fun seeing our old Brentwood neighbors. The kids even got a few hands of poker with Mallie and Kiki :)
The next morning we had a fun breakfast with Alex, Mallie, and Kiki and then said goodbye to Nick who flew back to Texas. Mallie continued on with the kids and me to Louisville. We arrived at Tim and Deb's that afternoon and Amelia and Fox were already waiting for us there! Max and Olivia came over for dinner that night, and the kids love seeing their older cousins :)
Of course the night ended with a large family poker game where Bryn cleaned house!!
The next day Rachel and Anna flew in town and we prepared for Brittany's baby shower on Sunday. It was so fun to host with my sisters, see Britty's new house, and celebrate Dottie!
Although we had so many fun events this whole week, the kids said their favorite time was playing at with Uncle Tim, Aunt Deb and the rest of their family and cousins :)
We didn't let a cold day stop us from visiting the Louisville Zoo with Mallie, Debbie, Amelia and Fox...
About a year ago, Liam started telling us he was a puma so we all started calling him Puma...especially Nora who couldn't say Liam. So he was so excited when Puma met a puma :)

Our cousins are big into rock climbing and took Liam and Bryn twice while we were there. They were naturals and can't wait to go again in Texas!
He made it to the top multiple times!
Bryn made it so high that I was pretty nervous...but she rocked it!

One of my favorite days was going to the Indianapolis Children's Museum...hands down, the coolest museum I have ever been to! Since it was a long day, Nora stayed back with Tim and Deb while Mallie and I took Liam and Bryn. We woke up at 6am to beat the traffic and since we got into town before it opened, we had a fun breakfast at a dive outside the museum.
The highlight of the museum...the Transformers exhibit!!

The museum was so big, we didn't even see half of it! That just means we need to go back :) And don't worry, Nora had a ball getting all the attention while we were gone!
Two highlights for Liam over the week was building rocket ships with Tommy...
and playing with Waldo and Herman!
On one rainy day, we found a preschool gym to go play. Another great day and way to burn off some energy!
We had a great week in Louisville!! So much fun and memories with family :)
Thanks so much to Tim and Deb (and the whole family!) for housing and entertaining us all week! We can't wait to come back...
We drove back to Nashville to break up the trip on the way back. We met Tippy and Paulette for lunch that day...
That night we stayed with my best friend from high school, Allison. It was so great to catch up with her and Rachael and the kids had a great time as well!
Especially Liam, who found another furry friend, Porter. So glad he got his doggy fix while out of town :)
Although we missed Nick, I'm so glad I got to spend this week with the kids! The did great on the ride home and were super happy to see their Daddy. I'm grateful to have such awesome friends and family to take us in on our travels and for Mallie for being my co-parent all week!
