Whew, a lot of posting and pictures in the last 12 hours, but I'm finally getting caught up! I have really enjoyed being off work to spend the summer at home with the kids. Although we've done some lounging, we have a lot of activities going on right now so we stay pretty busy! T-ball ended at the beginning of the summer. Liam had a great first season with the Marlins!
Bryn was so excited to start ballet this summer! I signed her up months ago and she literally asked almost every day when she could go.
It finally started and she could not be more excited!
She did great listening and loved walking on her "tip-tops" as she says :)
Liam started piano lessons which he really enjoys. Mal and Dal gave us our old keyboard (from when I was a child...yes, the Casio still works!) and he practices on it at home, playing songs for the family...
Pops and Nana came in town for the day and went to "Movie in the Park" at the baseball field with Nick, Lindsey and the kids. Our friends Jackson and Brenna were there and the kids had a great time!We are still doing gymnastics which the kids love...
And they started swim lessons at the same place. All the kids wear swim caps (which is hilarious and cute) and they are both doing really well so far. Liam is swimming almost all the way across the short side of the pool alone, floating on his back, and jumping off the side and swimming...
Bryn LOVED her cute coach :) She's doing great too..she always says no when they ask her to jump in but does it anyway. No tears and swimming underwater and floating on her back with no problem!
Nora has been a great sport thoughout all the activities...here she is watching Bryn at ballet...
and watching Liam swim. She's so alert this week! I thought she would still be sleeping during these events but she is just quietly 'peeping' the whole time :)
Liam has been working on a lot of projects this summer. We go to the library every week and the kids check out 10-15 books. Liam signed up for a reading challenge and his goal is 100 books (he originally wanted to read infinity :). So far he has read 58 books!! He's also writing his own book (The Rabbit at Issac Road...it's a work in progress so far :) He's been working on his Legos...
Melted crayon pieces into cool new shapes to color with...
And builds lots of creations with his blocks, like a zoo for his animals. There's no way we could do all these fun activities without help. Grandma has been great, helping with the baby and the big kids, around the house, and giving me so breaks when I can barely hold my eyes open. Nora loves her afternoon naps in Grandma's cocoon :)
Summer is off to a great start so far!
