August 17, 2016: Liam at 8

Liam has had a great year, other than a few bouts of strep :(  At the beginning of the school year, this is where you'll find us.
Other than that, he's a very healthy kiddo!  Still on the petite size for weight at 52 lbs (29%) but tall for his age at 51.75 in (73%).  Giving my bean pole a 4% BMI ha!  He eats and eats and eats...literally everything!  Doesn't love certain veggies like zucchini and peppers but doesn't seem to mind when they are hidden in his pasta :)  Bryn finds this hilarious as she is around the kitchen to see what goes in the food, but she's keeping her mouth shut for now.  He is still playing soccer year round, will be trying baseball and basketball next, loves wii and watching Mau U with his daddy.

Liam still loves card and games, especially Ticket to Ride...

He's such a smart, well-spoken kid and just so much fun to be around.  I love our rare time together when I get to hear about his day, friends, and thoughts on the world.  This could be a tangent on who would win in a puma vs. jaguar race or what countries he wants to visit first around the world.

He and Bryn have a hit a very competitive age.  I guess it's normal, but they are one minute playing so well together and then the next minute fighting like cats and dogs.  And there is nothing that can't be a competition around here from who buckles their seatbelt first to who can jump on the couch the fastest (sigh, this is exhausting!)  Nora might just be too young or too easy going, but the two of them are very close and he's a very sweet "daddy panda" to her...
Liam also starting volunteering at Operation Kindness and loves it!  We go together and walk dogs, straighten up their cages, give water/food, and socialize kitties.  He's pretty popular around this place!

He is so excited to get grades this year and his first set shows why!  He still loves math, science and geography the most.  He's really into reading Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Captain Underpants, I Survived and other historical nonfiction.
He's own his own as far as his fashion.  Styles his own hair, puts together his outfits.  After he's learned not to be a "blob" (as in blue shirt with blue shorts), he does pretty well.   Love this cool kid!
