This year Liam and I woke up at 6am to help volunteer on Thanksgiving day. We helped prepare and pass out meals that day to families in need. He was so excited to help even though we weren't quite sure what we would be tasked with...
Donning our food handling gear :)
They quickly nabbed Liam for the rolls...this meant every meal that went out the door, he put a roll into the box before it left.I was one of the runners bringing the meals through the line, so I also got to stop at his station for him to put a roll in each of my boxes. Everyone there was so positive and it was a wonderful environment for Liam to experience volunteering.
When some new kids came (there were only a handful of kids all day), Liam trained them to do the rolls and then was promoted to be a runner, going through the line like the adults. He was so serious about this talk and everyone complimented him :)
Could not be more proud to serve beside Liam on this day! Can't wait for many future opportunities to give back to the community together.
