Liam has been having a great time at school, but this was a particularly good week. First Liam was named the Star Student of the week!
Then during the red ribbon week (say no to drugs) presentation, Liam got chosen to do a nunchuck demonstration on stage...he loved it!
He had a great week as the star student and had many guests for lunch including Bryn, Nora and I, Nick, Mallie, Dallie, Grandma and Grandpa.
But being a star student isn't all fun...it's a lot of work too we learned! First we made our poster...Liam wanted a picture of him in every (13) state he had visited.
He also listed everything he loves including traveling, shrimp, hissing cockroaches, the color turquoise, soccer, climbing, his family and spiderman...and that he wants to be an explorer when he grows up :)He writes in a journal every day, sometimes with prompted subjects, sometimes random. Here was one of our favorite entries. First I love that he changed "my ouchy" to "my couch" on his own :) But we also love that he wrote about getting hurt playing goalie, and in his picture description of it he wrote "I have blood" above him laying on the ground and wrote "Shake it off" coming from Nick's mouth. Now Nick does (lovingly) say that when they have minor booboos, but Liam's also a big Taylor Swift fan right now, so hard to tell who his inspiration was!
The other part of being star student is that you get to take home the class pet, Louie, over the weekend (and then print more pictures to post in the class scrapbook about your adventures). Liam took Louie everywhere...
including trick-or-treating...
passing out candy...
to watch him play soccer...
help with his homework...and even to the cowboys game with Daddy and Dallie!! Louie was a lucky guy that weekend :)
Liam isn't the only one doing awesome at school. The girls are both doing wonderful in their classrooms and we do lots of learning at home too...
