Halloween is a 4 day event in our house! We started on Friday by dressing up for playgroup that morning. We did the train table, a turkey necklace craft, and rode the carousel...(Thanks Ashley for taking pics!)
Bryn and baby Cate!
Liam is so sweet with the girls in our playgroup...he might be tough when he needs to be, but he's still pretty sweet :)
Later that afternoon we went to IHop for the free spooky face pancake...a big hit for TRex!
Friday night we went trick-or-treating at Safety Town...along with thousands of other people! The boys were such a good sports considering they persisted despite the dropping temps, long lines, and missing the first inning of the World Series game 7...
Bryn didn't mind because she was snuggly warm and got to stay up past her usual 7:30 bedtime :)
Liam had lots of distractions like playing peek-a-boo with Brynnie, checking out the fire truck up close, and running on the lawn with lots of costumed kids...
Daddy had some distractions too, as they had a large projector showing the game :)
And Bryn just kept on smiling and loved watching all the people around her...
We didn't snap many pics inside because we were so busy running around to get candy...it was a good night and both kids had a lot of fun!
Saturday morning was our last soccer game. Our team is so cute and such good buddies on and off the field...
Liam had a great game and scored 2 goals!
After the game, we had a team picnic at the park...
Saturday night Liam and Bryn had spooky pasta with their Halloween cups and placemats...
Bryn got an early birthday present from Aunt Linds...
I think she liked it!
Thanks Aunt Linds :)
Nick and I went out tonight to Amelia's Halloween Birthday Bash! We used a babysitter for the first time ever, and she was great...I only checked in once :) Anyway, Meha's party was sooo cute and fun as you can tell from the pics...
Allstate and Progressive face off :)
Even though I only went for a couple of hours, it was so great to hang out with adults and get to dress up! Nick is still at the party, so tomorrow will probably be a lazy day around the house for us :) Liam asks every morning if it's October 31st yet. I keep reminding him that we have been celebrating a little bit every day and to enjoy it, but he is SO excited for the actual Halloween this year. Bryn has even started saying the word "boo" and it is so cute! Liam is spelling "boo" (and "mop" "fog" "honk"). I love this time of year when the weather has gotten cooler and we have so many fun events and holiday parties coming up.
