October 22-31, 2016: Costumes, Camping, and Halloween!

We can't dress up for Halloween at school, but you can dress up for book character day!
Their favorite books, brought to life by my homemade shirts.  We were all pretty excited with how cute they were!
Dress up day at CGMA.  It doesn't seem like anyone was excited I came to their costume parade :)  Here's the owl, pizza, and blueberry...these cousins LOVE to eat apparently, ha!

Nora and her bestie Emma, supergirl

She's just mad she doesn't get to go home with and has to stay for the rest of the day...poor Nora is having rough year.
Sweet Ms. Vaishali def helps make school a lot better!
We left that weekend to camp with the boy scouts about an hour and a half outside of Dallas.  We shared a campsite with the Haynes family...

First time we are all in a tent...looks fine now but there was definitely a moment I threatened to put Nora outside if she didn't spot crying at 2am, yikes!  To be fair she is not used to sleeping in the same room as anyone, much less a tent.  The second night (after a full day outside) she did MUCH better :)

Everyone woke up bright and early (and happy!) despite the lack of sleep...

Pretending to take a nap in this beautiful setting...at least I got to close my eyes for a minute...

 Morning 2...happy kiddos!
Overall it was a success, we had a great time and can't wait to do it again!
Came home from camping just in time for a game...not her favorite position but she steps up when she needs to
Halloween was a Monday, so right after school we headed to Mckinney for one of our favorite traditions...Scare on the Square!

Nora is still not feeling this holiday, poor girl!😂 (yes I just figured out how to put emojis in my text-game changer to really describe these kids!)

Love this tradition with Jackson and Brenna...and this year we were joined by Valentine and Valor too!
 Mario and co...and a blueberry!
We love that the fam comes over to trick or treat...this year we had Grandma, Mal, Dal, Lynn and Aunt Linds...
