June 2-10, 2017: Orange Beach!

We had been looking forward to this trip for months!  It was the Renfro family reunion and this year we decided to all meet in Orange Beach, AL!   The Felters and us decided to leave right after school Friday night and stay in Jackson, MS to break up the trip.  We followed each other's location (as in Nick and Daniel used this as motivation to try and race)...

We all got in late and the kids went back to sleep at the hotel.  The next morning though they were all up and full of energy...too bad we had 5 more hours to drive!

We knew we were good when about 20 minutes out we saw some familiar faces on the road!

Meals for the week...we all made one dinner and breakfast, it worked out great!

Another beach day but I didn't have my phone.  That night we went out to dinner...

 Last beach day 😢  But we did find a crab!  The kids named him Anikan and made him a habitat...

Before leaving, the kids got to go on a treasure hunt set up by Tippy and Alex...

And although embarrassing it must be noted...on the last night, Nick dared me to do a belly flop..and if I did he would do all the dishes and kids' baths.  SOLD! 

 Driving home...no crazy rain this time but thanks to a virus passed through the family *cough* e. coli  *cough*, we stopped NINE times for B to use the restroom.  Poor girl.  It had already hit Nora and got Nick and I the day after we return.  Liam made it through unscathed only because he was already on antibiotics at the beach...for strep of course!

 Yes, everyone beat us this time...

 Other than our terrible stomach bug, this was one of our favorite family vacations ever!  Can't wait for the next one!
