I cannot believe Bryn is 4! It seems that she's been 4 for so long because she's so mature and always acting older than her age. But on the other hand, she still seems like my sweet little girl who still takes a daily nap (woo hoo!), wants to be carried upstairs at bedtime, and thinks her dad hung the moon and her mom knows everything. Love this age :)
On Bryn's actual birthday this year, she had gymnastics. Which was fine with her, she loves it!
Afterwards she got a special (RARE) treat of a Sonic milkshake and corn dog for birthday lunch :)
Later that day, we picked Liam up from school and headed to Kid Mania (her choice) for another special treat. Even Nora got in there!
We had the Mallie and Dallie over for family dinner later that night. Instead of cake, Bryn wanted chocolate pudding. I made her a special chocolate/chia/pomegranate pudding which went over pretty well. She's my best chia eater so I thought she would like it :)
We had her check-up the next day and she did really well with her 4 year old shots. She is 39.5 inches (46%) and 32.5 lbs (29%). She eats everything but is still pretty petite. We also found out she has high cholesterol (obviously genetic because she's otherwise a super healthy eater), so she now reminds everyone that she can't eat red meat. We don't eat it that much anyway, and now she has another reason to keep eating her daily oatmeal/chia seeds for breakfast as they are great for lowering cholesterol :)
The rest of the day was very special since she was so brave with her vaccines. She had a ladies' lunch at Fuzzy's with Mal and Lynn and then movie/popcorn/sleepover that night with Mal and Dal!
Bryn is so much fun at this age! She's a girly girl who loves painting her nails, wearing sticker earrings and necklaces, putting together fashion shows of her outfits, and coloring/painting/playing her fashion design paper dolls.
However, she is also the toughest kid I know! She keeps up with Liam and his friends at Lil Ninjas, loves soccer, getting dirty outside, no tears when she falls, and she always wants to be on the boys team...
I think she's just going to be a girly tomboy! Evidenced here when he was dressed for soccer with a purse on her shoulder :)
Bryn is such a wonderful sister! She is so sweet and gentle with Nora who looks up to her so much.
She's still Liam's best friend and they do everything from Foosball to soccer to painting to board games together. She loves her big brother so much and because she has no problem getting physical with him, he gets a taste of what life with a little brother would be like :)
Brynnie, you will always be daddy and mommy's sweetheart! You are so precious, helpful, smart, funny and we can't wait to see you continue to grow and change into an amazing girl.
